Privacy Notice
I respect your privacy. This notice explains, in plain words, what personal information I collect, why, and how I protect it, as required by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
The short version. I collect only what I need to reply to you and work on your project. I don’t sell your information. I send promos only if you tick the box asking for them, and you can stop them any time. You can ask me to see, correct or delete your information whenever you like.
1. Who I am
This website is run by Alessandra Dagdag, a BIR-registered freelance web and software developer based in San Jose, San Simon, Pampanga, Philippines. I am the personal information controller for the information described here, and I also act as my own data protection officer.
Contact: hello@alessandradagdag.com · +63 931 055 0016
2. What I collect
| When you… | I collect |
|---|---|
| Send a quick message or the short form | Your name, email, and anything else you choose to give: phone or Messenger, business name, what you need, timeline, how you heard about me, and your message. If you arrived through a link someone shared, I also note the code in that link. |
| Book a call | The name, email and any notes you enter in my Google Calendar booking page. |
| Become a client | Contact and billing details, your registered business name, address and TIN if you give them for your invoice, project files and messages. |
| Browse this site | Nothing that identifies you. The site keeps your currency choice (₱ or $) in your own browser. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies. My hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. |
Please don’t send sensitive personal information (like government ID numbers, health or financial account details) through the website forms.
3. Why I use it
- To reply to you and set up our call. This is something you asked for, so it’s based on your request and my legitimate interest in answering it.
- To prepare quotes, agreements and invoices, and to deliver and support your project. This is needed for our contract.
- To keep records that tax laws and BIR rules require.
- To send promos, discounts and news about new services, only if you tick the box for them. This is based on your consent.
- To keep the site and my records secure, and to prevent spam and abuse.
4. Promos and how to stop them
If you tick “Send me occasional promos, discounts and news about new services”, I may email you a few times a year. Every promo email tells you how to stop them. Just reply “STOP”, or email me, and I’ll remove you within 5 working days. Saying no never affects your inquiry or your project.
5. Who else handles your information
I don’t sell or rent your information. I use a few trusted services to run my business, and they handle your information only on my instructions:
- Netlify (website hosting and form delivery)
- Google (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets and Drive, where I store messages and records)
- Brevo (sending email from my business address)
Some of these services store information on servers outside the Philippines. I choose providers with strong security and data protection commitments. I may also share information when the law requires it, for example with the BIR.
6. How long I keep it
- Inquiries that don’t become projects: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records, agreements and invoices: for as long as tax and business laws require.
- Promo list: until you ask me to stop.
7. How I protect it
My accounts use strong, unique passwords and 2-step verification. Records are kept in private, access-restricted storage, the website uses HTTPS, and only I can see your information. If a breach ever puts your information at real risk, I will tell you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- be informed about how your information is used,
- access a copy of your information,
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete,
- object to processing, and withdraw your consent to promos at any time,
- have your information blocked or deleted when it is no longer needed or was processed unlawfully,
- get your information in a portable format,
- claim damages, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
To use any of these rights, email hello@alessandradagdag.com. I’ll reply within 15 days, and I may ask you to confirm who you are first.
9. Children
This site is meant for business owners and adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
10. Changes to this notice
If I change this notice, I’ll update the date at the top. Big changes will also be shared with clients by email.
